I can't resist yellows, especially during this time of year when the wind whips and feels as if it's slapping me in the face. Bright colors soothe my soul and bring me happy thoughts. These early flowers whisper promises of the Rose bloom soon to come. Lupin are beginning to show their cheery faces along with white flowering Currant, Pieris, Daffodil, Fern and wild Tulip and some Lily.
Those yellow and orange posies are the wild Tulips; they look like they are on fire.
Lilacs are here in abundance, their scent perfuming the air...Hellebores still holding on. Muscari are poking out amongst the green of spring along with other cool-toned Hyacinth. Blue Honeywort is really spectacular right now, in the moodiest purple hue.
The Peonies are making me swoon, so perfectly puffed and pink. I paired a few with late-flowering Cherry blossoms and white Lilac to watch them gracefully unfurl.
Cheers to you and yours during this lovely spring!
