let love shine

Tracie and Chris invited me to be a part of their wedding last year at one of my favorite venues in Marin County - The Pelican Inn at Muir Beach. Styled like a British pub, this cozy setting is a walk away from the beach and Muir Woods.

When you're here, you don't have cell phone reception - that is priceless. Except when your second van full of florals is supposed to be twenty minutes behind you...that's when you're thankful you selfishly hoarded bridal bouquet in the shotgun of your van and you have all the personals in the back. Walk it off 'cause some things just work out.

Tracie let me do my own thing for her flowers - handing me total creative freedom. She did not have a color palette, nor did she ask for anything specifically. She simply enjoyed my work and I dig that. Kind of a dream come true.

Cheers, Tracie & Chris

June boom

Things are slowing down's bittersweet.

These happy flowers were stunning in Sonoma despite the heat. They even look hot. It was over 100 degrees that day and I was melting. panicking about the flowers. spritzing them with water like a maniac. trying not to look like a maniac in the process...

Now I wish I had some of that warmth from that gorgeous summer day at Kate and T's wedding.

Imagine they're somewhere in Australia, still celebrating...

my new bigger family...

My family gained a member at Garden Valley Ranch this year when my Mom married a wonderful gentleman I am proud to have in our family.

Since the studio is at the ranch, I didn't have to haul things too far...

and I couldn't have done it alone-my dear friend Bonnie helped to put everything, including myself, together that day to make it happen.

Sally Holmes, one of my all-time favorite roses, showed up for the party. Along with those incredible Peonies and Bells of Ireland-because my Mom is an Irish gal.

White Passion vine was hanging around all over the place.

The head table spread with some of my Mom's Depression glass collection...

all the girls all dressed up!

Her glorious bouquet with Cattleya Orchids...

to the happy couple
I love you both
